makeup + hair + grooming

Pulse Spikes Magazine: Garden Creature

I was sitting at my friend Wendy's apartment in North Hollywood when Allegra Messina posted that she was looking for a makeup artist last minute for a shoot. I had finished a bridal trial early that morning and was debating on just going home or spending the rest of my day doing something creative, and creativity won. Fast forward through mid-day makeup and hair application and tons of LA traffic in a minivan and we found ourselves scrambling around the USC Rose Garden praying for the clouds to go away and for the sun to stay out a bit longer. But as with most requests, these things didn't happen.

What did happen, is that the elements ended working with us and not against us for these moody photos. Makeup, hair, floral and wardrobe changes happened so quickly, but at the end of the day (i mean very end), we ended up with some amazing shots. So happy that Pulse Spikes loved them enough to put us on the cover of their revolt issue, it all seems so fitting. While I've met so many wonderfully creative people from all walks of life, I always love it when my team is all women. There's an understanding there that you don't have to put into words, and it just feels like a win. I loved creating this story and I look forward to more opportunities to do so. Until next time...
